Assistant Store Manager - Holden

We are looking for an assistant store manager for our Holden store. We offer a comprehensive benefits package with a salary range of $45,000-$48,000 commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for daily operations by ensuring store is clean, well-stocked, and staffed appropriately according to weekly budget hours. Covers entire store operation, including deli.

  • Supports sales promotion activities and prepares and direct workers on preparing merchandising displays and all marketing materials and displays.

  • Assists in ensuring all staff are trained and properly executing all regulatory and legal requirements.

  • Completes daily gas surveys and changes gas prices only when directed by Territory or Operations Manager, or Corporate personnel.

  • Manages vendor relationships to include ordering and receiving.

  • Responsible for overall Deli appearance, cleanliness and organization.

  • Responsible to ensure all paperwork is executed and followed per Freshies operation manual.

  • Responsible for ensuring all food safety and sanitation procedures are followed.

  • Inspects Deli to ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are followed per state of Maine Department of Health Food and Sanitation guidelines.

  • Ensure food product and handling procedures are followed.

  • Responsible for training new Deli staff members, communicating proper procedures and expectations to ensure consistency as outlined in Freshies Training Program.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
