Maintenance - Car Wash Mechanic

R.H. Foster Energy, LLC is a small family company that prides itself in being part of the communities they serve. Robert H. Foster started Foster Fuels as a Gulf Oil Dealership with one 1500-gallon oil delivery truck. Sales volume for the first year was 200,000 gallons of home heating oil. Today the company has over 500 employees and does business throughout Maine. R.H. Foster Energy, LLC has seven energy service locations throughout Central Maine. In addition, the company owns 23 Shell brand fuels with stores offering Freshies food.

As a Car Wash Mechanic, you will be part of a team focusing on Maintenance strategies and providing consistency and safety to enhance our customer experience and profitability of the operation. You will be working with a team, while being deeply involved with maintenance, customer relations, the overall performance of the car washes.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Takes verbal and written instructions from Facilities Director.

  • Ability to accurately maintain and update work orders and other required documentation.

  • Successfully execute tasks in a safe and timely manner.

  • Ability to work alone and as a team to efficiently complete tasks.

  • Strong time management skills.

  • Maintain clean and organized work site and vehicle.

  • Maintain Car Wash operations at peak efficiency.

  • Orders and maintains car wash supplies and maintenance equipment.

  • Performs Car Wash Preventative Maintenance and Operation duties.

  • Troubleshooting and making routine repairs including but not limited to

  • Painting

  • Electrical

  • Plumbing

  • Carpentry

  • Food Equipment

  • Handling basic repairs and maintenance of Facilities and Grounds as needed.

  • Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.

  • Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.

  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them as necessary.

  • Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.

  • Inspect and repair all damages to building and building surfaces.

  • Perform landscaping and plowing as needed.

  • Ability to work variable schedule with occasional travel and overnights required.

  • Perform other related duties and activities as required.

Individual Qualifications:

In order to excel in this role, the candidate must be capable of performing each important duty to a satisfactory level. The qualifications listed below represent the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the job.   • Valid Maine Driver’s License

  • General Operators within 90 days

  • OSHA 10 valid certification within 1 year

  • Mechanics, Electrical, and/or HVAC Experience and Certifications preferred.
